The problem
Servicing loans by spreadsheet breaks down fast: amortisation schedules, partial and late payments, adjustments and payoff figures all have to reconcile, and a lender has to be able to answer for every cent across the life of every loan.
What I built
Mortgage Base is a multi-tenant loan-servicing platform: borrowers, loans, amortisation schedules, payment recording and balance reporting, built on FastAPI and PostgreSQL with a React front end. Every page carries synchronised in-app help for the lender's staff.
The result
Mortgage Base runs in production as a hosted service, giving lenders a single, auditable record of their loan books.
